FuseBox Brown Bag Lunch: The (Thinning) Thickness of the World: Space, Self and the Boundaries of Perception
Are you interested in the intersection between spatial design, virtual reality and philosophy?
Join us for this Brown Bag Lunch where we will be joined by Andreea Ion Cojocaru, a traditional architect, VR developer and co-founder of NUMENA GmbH, a German company that develops XR applications as well as designs 'real' buildings.
Andreea will be introducing a theoretical framework she has developed based on Merleau-Ponty's phenomenology that describes reality and its problematic relationship to virtual reality. Andreea will also be drawing upon observations from VR experiments she has been designing meant to challenge the user's notion of self through altered perceptions of space.
This event is a presentation followed by Q&A and will begin promptly at 1pm so please arrive on time. As the name suggests, please feel free to bring your own lunch.
This event has been specifically created for Fusebox residents and Wired Sussex members. If you would like to know more about FuseBox residency, Wired Sussex membership or have any questions about this event, we would love to hear from you! Drop a line to [email protected].
